I am so excited to share the launch of a new brand & custom Showit website design for my client, fine art wedding photographer Nicole Lea! In this post, I’m sharing the behind-the-scenes of her brand inspiration. I’ll also give you a look at the overall brand strategy, and what it took to bring her custom Showit website from inspiration to launch!
Brand Inspiration
Nicole’s style as a wedding photographer is a fun take on modern, elegant, whimsical, and classic. She pairs those aspects of her creativity with depictions of natural and organic elements.
When putting together her brand inspiration it was important that we made sure all of those elements were clearly reflected & communicated. That meant representing those elements throughout her branding and custom Showit website. As her brand designer, it was up to me to translate those brand elements in a straightforward way. We wanted to let Nicole’s potential brides know that they had landed on the right website!
I asked Nicole to describe colors, items, textures, and existing brands that she herself finds inspiring. This step in the process helps give me an insider’s look at what influences her work product. Her responses were linen, smooth stone, neutral & gray shades, peonies, Hahn wine labels, and James Allen rings!
Brand Strategy
Nicole’s brand strategy was to create a brand and custom Showit website that works to draw in her ideal client. Nicole describes her brides as sweet, old souls who are loved by all. Her brides love ‘bubbly’ and the fancier things of life. Her bride is also a girl who has been dreaming of her wedding day since she was a little girl.
Nicole Lea Photography’s brand core values are family, love, integrity, and kindness. Her vision is to capture authentic, romantic, love stories for joyful couples. Her couples value preserving life’s most precious memories for a lifetime!
Nicole understands that the issue most of her brides face is in finding a wedding professional who is encouraging & supportive throughout the wedding planning process, but especially on the day of her wedding. Nicole values turning her client relationships into friendships and she brings an energetic presence with her everywhere she goes.
Understanding that Nicole’s brides appreciate the finer things of line, her website showcases the natural beauty, artistry, and professionalism that Nicole brings to her client’s wedding day photos.
Custom Showit Website Design
When putting together Nicole’s new brand and custom Showit website, my priority was to make sure Nicole’s new brand portrayed her take on timeless wedding photography.
Another important aspect that was built into Nicole’s website in order to make it stand out to her prospective brides was to fill it with valuable information on how Nicole positions herself as a relationship builder and expert in her field. Nicole’s knowledge in the wedding industry had to come across the pages in a way that instantly connects with her ideal clients while showing off her bold, energetic, and kind personality.
On the homepage of Nicole’s new website, there is a tagline that reads “Magically timeless. Modern and spirited. Photos that reflect your love.” Nicole worked with Lauren of Salted Pages for her website copy. Through the branding process and the creation of a custom Showit website, we were able to reflect that exact tagline!
